Media Ministry serves in support behind the scenes to make it possible to share the message of our Lord and Savior through amplified sound, video recordings and presentations, as we impact the main body of the church including the many auxiliary ministries. Youth Anchors For Christ is comprised of Mt. Zion youths working in audio, video, and on public speaking to broadcast the works that God is doing through Mt. Zion ministries to impact our community. YAFC (Youth Anchors For Christ) is under the guidance of Deacon Will Johnson who works with middle and high school youth ages 10–17 to provide training and skills for aspiring news anchors, public speakers, or television production crew members. Participants record video announcements, capture hi-res photography footage, conduct interviews, write articles reporting on ministry events, which airs during Sunday worship services. In-studio class sessions are held on alternating Thursday & Fridays at 6PM, and on location for special events.
Baby Dedication Ministry gives Biblical insights, relational assistance and accountability to those endeavoring to have themselves & their children dedicated to the Lord. Baby dedication ceremonies take place once every quarter. Contact info@mzprogressive.org.
Health & Wellness Ministry provides information for optimum health to our congregation. The ministry promotes good health and wellness among the people of our congregation by equipping them with biblical knowledge to encourage them to maintain health through education, resources, and fitness. Homegoing Ministry serves as a liaison between the bereaved family, the church and outreach services, while performing other acts of mercy and Christian compassion for those in bereavement in the church and in the community as necessary. Pastor’s Appreciation Ministry leads the congregation in offering support and sensitivity to the personal needs and functions of the pastor and his family. This ministry also supports and recognizes Mt. Zion’s clergy staff. Our ministry is committed to prayer and devotion on behalf of the pastor, his family, clergy and leadership of the church. Wedding Ministry The marriage service is one of the most sacred and beautiful ceremonies of the church. It is always a service of worship in which two persons, in the company of their loved ones and friends, publicly covenant with each other under the blessing of God.
